The Transition Year adventure programmes have been developed with education and enjoyment for the student in mind. The programmes educate young people about the potential uses which our natural resources afford us; specifically Hodson Bay, Lough Ree and the River Shannon.

A broad spectrum of water sport disciplines, from dinghy sailing, kayaking and raft building to power-boating, is available for your transition-year students.. Each activity presents a unique challenge which aims to develop a spirit of cooperation and teamwork amongst the participants.

The challenges allow students the opportunity to gain knowledge, develop skills and learn about boating, water safety and other related aspects, within the natural environment of Lough Ree. These programmes are also enjoyable, stress free and memorable for the teachers in charge.
